Our Seamless Form System covers  are specifically designed to work with the stackable wooden pottery forms from GR Pottery Forms, and will fit any stackable pottery forms from other manufacturers with the same dimensions.

No, the Seamless covers are made of silicone rubber, and will collapse without the structure of the stacked forms underneath them.  

Yes. We recommend cornstarch or cornflour. 

No. The Pottery Toolkit logo that appears on our Seamless Covers is only present on the side of the Cover that faces the stacked forms.  The logo does not come into contact with the clay.

1. Roll out a clay slab large enough to cover the Seamless Cover to approximately 1/4 inch in thickness using a slab roller.

2. We recommend applying dry cornstarch, as a releasing agent, with a paint brush to the side of the Seamless Cover that will come into contact with the clay slab. This will mitigate the clay from sticking to the Seamless Cover when unmolding the form.

3. Leave the clay on the Seamless Cover to dry until ‘leather hard’; (leather hard is the condition of the clay when most of the moisture has left the body but when it is still plastic enough to be carved or joined.)

4. We recommend covering your piece loosely with plastic to create a long and even drying environment and allowing your piece to dry slowly until leather hard status has been achieved

5. This is the ideal state to remove the Seamless Cover from the clay

6. The amount of time required to achieve leather hard consistency varies based on the specific environmental conditions in which it was dried.  Temperature and humidity play a role in how long you will have to leave the clay on the Seamless Cover.  

7. Once the clay has been removed from the Seamless Cover, wipe clean with a damp cloth/sponge or clean with soap and water.

For best results, store them placed over the set of stacked forms it was designed to cover in order to keep its shape.

Yes. The Seamless covers can withstand temperatures from -4°F to 300°F (-20°C to 150°C)

We have noticed, in some cases, when clay is left on the Seamless Cover for extended periods (7+ days), especially in moist or humid environments, stains may occur on the Seamless Cover.  This is purely cosmetic and will not affect the utility in any way.  

We have tested many remedies for stained Seamless Covers, and the best results have occurred with a product made by Clorox, Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner – Clinging Bleach Gel.  This product, in our testing, worked much faster than soaking in diluted liquid bleach (or any other method we have tried), and removed all stains.

If you experience any staining, follow this process to remove the stains with Clorox Clinging Bleach Gel:

1. Place Seamless cover in a shallow bucket or onto a protected surface in a well ventilated area.

2. Apply bleach gel to the Seamless Cover and spread over the stained areas using a foam brush.

3. Let sit for 30-40 minutes.

4. Rinse using water.

5. Note; make sure to protect your clothing, hands/skin or any surface that can be damaged by bleach.

Our first 6 releases will all be different stack combinations of the round forms from GR Pottery Forms.  After that we will begin releasing different shapes, starting with oval. 

No, but we have a waitlist feature.  For items that are on our site, but either out of stock or awaiting arrival, you can sign up for the waitlist and will be the first to be made aware of that specific item being back in stock.  We notify the waitlist prior to announcing new stock to our other public channels.  You can join the waitlist from the specific product’s page on our site.
